Issue applying for BB&T card

I applied or tried applying for the BB&T card. I wanted the cash rewards because 2% cash back for paying utilities sounds awesome. Went through the prequal and received 3 offers. After inputting all of my information, I received this message

"Unfortunately, we are experiencing difficulties and are unable to continue your BB&T Spectrum Cash Rewards Credit Card application online.

Please try again later or visit your local BB&T branch to apply in person."

Has anyone had that happen before? I don't want to apply in person because I'm trying to avoid a hard pull. Should I just try again later?

Wish you luck on future try - but in my experience, once I try and get that offer, if I dont do it right then and there and go back and try, its not there. Most times for me I have to wait weeks for it to come back. I have usually noticed that the date the offer says its good by is the date the offer starts returning if you don't go thru with the app. Let us know how you make out

I applied again in the afternoon and got the same message. I think I'll use my passport as my id next time.

Went into branch when I got that msg in March. Was a HP in-branch.

I don't want to be another person to complain about their one-time bad experience, but the banker botched my application/income, was condescending to me and tried to sell me their doodoo secured cards with AF lol... I walked. 

Denial Letter in the mail said something along the lines of unable to verify info

I'd only go for this if you get online prequal, but it's a pretty average card if not

Next time you try you ought to have your EQ cr open so you can compare their info. to info. on that cr.  They pull EQ and it has to match exactly...all of the answers.  If verification answers are not on your report and you're not sure you may have to go inbranch.  What was the lowest apr BB&T offered? (Bright Card)

Lowest apr is 15.24 (which is the lowest I've ever seen offered to me lol). It could be the employment or living verification. I'll pull my cr from eq now. Thanks.
