I have a Kay Jewelers card through Genesis. I called to ask about a CLI because the website says they don't have a CLI program or something to that effect online. When I called, they said I have to go into a physical Kay Jewelers location and they will call on my behalf to do it. Has anyone had experience with this?
Hmm my Kay's is with Comenty. Not sure about a genesis version (how it works)
If it were me, the only way I would go into the store for a CLI is if I were planning to purchase something anyway.
I see this as a gimmick to get you in the store to lightly pressure you into buying something.
Nope, in my book, that’s not worth a CLI.

We were looking at purchasing something so I did stop in the store, but the CLI got denied they said they would send a letter in the mail stating the reasons. It's strange because I'm prequalified through the same company (Genesis) on the Jared website.. I'm tempted to just close it down because I don't see any opportunites for growth, but it is one of my larger credit lines.
I've had my card (through genesis) for a little over a year. I was told to go in stre for CLI request also. However I never requested the cli because they could not tell me whether it would be a hard or soft pull. I wasnt going to risk a HP just for a cli. I was considering closing mine as I also see not room for growth. My limit is 4K and I've bought several pieces using my card but not worth it imo.
@AR0627 was it a hp or sp?
