I applied on 04/26/2019 and they pulled TU and had 705 score. Guess what they send me in the mail?
They want me to make copies proof like driver license, ssn card etc, I made that the next day.
I got the letter result today, it says they were unable to verifty fraud information.
I immediate call them and ask what the heck is going on, they advised they cant do anything, case closed.
Khol's pretty much screwed my CR and I got nothing.
Everyone: Stay away from Khols!
Maybe you should take a break from applying for new cards? Seems your apps are not coming out the way you want them to.

You have 3 prime cards and a slew of PLCC cards from stores.
So, what's your objective with all the cards?
What are your plans for the next 1/3/5 years of card collecting?
What do you want your credit to do?

Sorry you had this experience.
Your score has nothing to do with identity/fraud verification.
It's unclear whether there is mismatching info on your CR or if it has anything to do with previous apps, but maybe AA letter will provide further details for you.
Also, this is really not a common occurrence for their approval process, so whatever is triggering it, must be profile specific.

How? 1 inquiry does nothing anywhere close to screwing your report
Take the personal out of credit decisions...it's not a personal issue.
@Anonymousas you are aware it can be frustrating when situations arise like Kohls. Several posters have put forth solid information to help improve future apps. On credit seeking it is easy to forget, credit is not a race and lenders deliberately place 'hard inquirys' so other lenders can track your credit seeking behavior.
As was already posted, you have many new accounts and the flag goes up the pole for over extension of credit. A few years back the rules were updated telling the lenders they need to approve people based on their ability to pay and to consider other lenders along with DTI so as to prevent forcing some one into a credit failure. So, lenders may be viewing you as such. Got frustrating for me and the idea of going to the Garden was tough but it did wonders for my ability to acquire new credit taking a six month time out. ![]()

Amen brother
I agree with everyone else saying to cool it on the apps. Likely your recent applications are flagging you with whatever lender is behind the Kohl's card. Requiring ID docs like that is not a normal part of the application process, especially not for a store card.
