Re: Kohls CLI ??

I've never received an auto Kohl's CLI. I started at $300, then went to $700, then $1500, then $2500 within one year of having the card. All were requested online, were soft pulls and my credit was in the fair to good range then. I haven't bothered to ask again to go to $3000 as some reported recent hard pulls. I don't care to risk that for an additional $500.

More than enough credit.

Capital One is the lender for Kohl's. I started out with 250 limit. Then auto increase to 750, then i requested online it went to 1500 where it is currently. I opened the account in May 2015.

Re: Kohls CLI ??

With all the coupons and Kohl's cash they give it's extremely hard to utilize the full $3,000 or even 30% of it!

Re: Kohls CLI ??

Kohl's sells TV's and other small appliances now. You may be able to utilize a bit more credit if you decide to purchase one amongst other items.

Re: Kohls CLI ??

Yea but they're wayyyy overpriced and they do not price match. And the electronics you cannot use coupons on. I'd stick to Target for electronics and small appliances they have the 5% off plus accept coupons plus have a special couponing app (Cartwheel) plus they price match.

For kohls I mainly buy clothes or jewelry.

Their list of excluded brands to use coupons on is pretty extensive. I actually recently tried to buy some headphones and there was a sign on the display that said this may be an excluded brand go to kohls.com/exclusions to see. So I went on there and searched through their entire list of exclusions only to find it was not on the list anywhere if excluded brands. So when paying I believed it wasn't excluded and I could use my 25% off coupon on it only to find when looking at my receipt it wasn't discounted. After going to the customer service they said well all electronics are excluded SMH I say then why is there this sign and why is EVERY OTHER brand listed on this list of exclusions except this one. She said maybe it's new I told her this brand has been sold by kohls for a year now and I asked if she had an updated list (even though it showed the list I looked at had been updated 4 days prior). She said she didn't have a list of exclusions and referred me to the online list. I had to threaten to file a Unfair Competition Law complaint (false advertising) complaint with the department of consumer affairs as well as contact their corporate headquarters to get the lady to budge.

Kohls is good for their clothes because they have coupons and clearances but I would highly recommend staying far away for any appliances or electronics.

Re: Kohls CLI ??

Oh I definitely agree! I was just mentioning the fact they sell TV's. I wouldn't ever purchase one from Kohl's. I only use my Kohl's charge when I have coupons, Kohl's cash, and it's on clearance. I use my JCPenney card often. I just opened a Target Red Card in September I haven't used it.

Re: Kohls CLI ??

Kohls electronics are overpriced but not by that much. I brought a Xbox one and was able to get exchange it a year later when it went out because there is no time limit on returns. No waiting on mailing it out or waiting for someone to fix it. I returned it with no problems. Kohl's is amazing for electronics.
