I opened a membership with Langley FCU at the beginning of May. Took a few days to process and was approved. I waited until about middle of May to apply for a credit card with Langley, the application ended up being denied. I finally received the Adverse Action Notice and the only reason for denial shown is "You are not eligible for membership in this credit union" which doesn't really make a lot of sense.
Has anyone encountered this before? How's Langley recon?

Welcome to the forum.
On the rare occasions I've had reason to call them, their customer service was good. So yes, I would recon.
I would definitely call and ask about it for sure. Incredibly weird since you're already a member.
Are you located in Virginia in their geographic footprint or out of state? I remember reading on this forum a few years back that someone from Wisconsin joined Langley and their membership ended up getting terminated because they were in Wisconsin. I found the old post here
I'm out of state.
Customer service was friendly and the person I ended up speaking to said they would send it back to underwriting to review since they didn't see anything else and seemed a little confused as well.
Any update on your account?
Nope. I haven't heard back from anyone. No letters in the mail either.

I would follow up.
Any news?
I never received any mail or an actual response to my escalation. I called and the rep just said she could see "denied". So not sure if they ever reconsidered or not.
