I am sitting in the garden here and am suffering from the Experian pileup that happened after the Equifax hack. Basically almost all the lenders like checking Experian now. So I am trying to figure out how to proceed as most lenders that I want will check the same report. Sugestions?
Experian Fico 8: 814
Inquiries: 1/1/5
Oldest: 13yr, 4mo Avg: 6yr, 7mo
No negatives.
So I am wondering what the people would think about the approval odds for the following cards? Especially suggest an order.
Citi Custom Cash World Elite MasterCard
Comenity AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature
Redstone FCU Visa Signature
Based on your conservative nature of seeking credit, and scores, I would feel very confident applying for any of the cards you mentioned. Redstone seems to be the hot ticket right now and based on prior threads, seems like they pull EX primarily, but there are threads which repeatedly mention Citi, and Comenity as likely to pull EQ primarily. I suppose you could freeze your EQ hoping it forces them to pull elsewhere, but if pulling EQ is something they're married to for whatever reason, it's going to cause a bit of a roadblock. I simply don't know the answer as to how committed they are to pulling EQ. Best of luck!

Approval odds are good for all 3.
The suggested order is fine.

The problem is that I know Citi likes to hit EX here. I hear Redstone will probably do the same. If Comenity hits something else that would be nice but I think I heard they do EX too around here. The EQ is around the same FICO score but with inquiries at 1/1/2. Biggest hickup is that for EX of the 5 inquiries reporting 3 are from Citi as I attempted to get the Custom Cash and kept getting stuck on paperwork that takes months to obtain. Not sure if I should consider skipping Citi and going with the other two or waiting. You see the order I listed was only alphabetical.

The only help I can offer, is the DP's from my AAA Travel Advantage Visa Approval.
They did in fact pull EQ
Yeah, Comenity has been all EQ for me (although I haven't had anything other than a HP CLI in 3/2022 in the last 5 years with them). However I will say that Redstone FCU approved me in December immediately after 3 other approvals last fall so I would say they're reasonably inquiry tolerant in my experience.
