The exact same thing happened to me about 4 weeks ago. App'ed for the Chase Amazon card and got denied. A few recon's later I was told by the rep she put me in for approval but a Senior Lender had to look at it, but again she put it thru to be approved.  I thought for sure it would be approved. Well no go, and I was bummed.  That was for me though, and I hope the best for you.

How long did it take for you to hear back from the senior lender? And did they call, email etc?

Well, got another letter, basically said the same thing and too many inquiries. So gardening it is. Maybe I can get back in with Chase a few years down the road
