I think that was the direct feedback that OP included in the original post?
This is a good, informative thread that the OP started, and editorials aren't really necessary, so not needed, so, no.

I got approved for my Chase CSP about February 2014. I Consolidated my Southwest card into CSP for a total line of 10k. Chase has refused to increase limit after multiple tries. Back in July 2015 after reading all the stories about Chase cobranded cards, I started a mini app spree as follows:
7/24/15 Chase Hyatt. App went pending and called next business day for verification. Approved 24k
7/26/15 Chase IHG. App went pending and called straight to UW. Denied too many new accounts + just approved for Hyatt at 24k. Used same 7/24/15 HP
8/19/15 Chase Marriott. App went pending, decided not to call. Approved Marriott ($6,600) showed up in my Chase online account access. New HP
8/23/15 Chase United. App went pending, decided not to call. After a few days, Approved United ($8,000) showed up in my Chase online account access. New HP
9/1/15 Chase IHG. App went pending, decided not to call. The next day Approved IHG ($8,000) showed up in my Chase online account access. Used same HP from 8/23/15..
9/4/15 Chase Fairmont. App went pending (two week notice). Within one hour went to 7-10 day notice. Called csr for CSP (not UW) and app denied. No new HP. Called UW this morning and told them I only wanted to know the denial reason and that I wasn't asking for recon. I was told that since August 19, 2015 I submitted 4 Chase applications and they approved 3 of them. Chase would like to see how I handle the 3 cards that I was just approved for. Interesting enough, there was no mention of the Hyatt. I assume that this was because it was outside that 30 day window. Based on my experience, I would say that I've had good luck with not calling.
Im wondering whats up with chase as well. I apped the marriott 3 days ago and it still says 30 day message on 1 number and 2 week message on the other. Im too afraid to call UW. i will ride it out I guess. I really think it is a verification thing but they should have the courtesy to call and tell me that. Congrats with the new chase cards. I just want this marriott and i will be done with apping credit cards for 2 years. i promise ![]()

I went through the exact same thing when I Applied for the united airlines credit card and all it was was verification process that I needed to go through.
@Taxi,
I posted a number for verification in the application section. You could call it (only if you want to) and see if it's a verification issue. What I've done on all my Chase applications were to call the regular customer service number to see if they were able to tell me anything. On my Hyatt application, they told me I needed to go to verification. On all my other Chase applications they said that nothing further was needed so I knew then that it wasn't a verification issue and that I needed to sit back and wait. Although on one of the applications (United) I did call verification department who said they didnt need anything and attempted to transfer me to "lending" at which time I hung up.
This is interesting:
9/1/15 Chase IHG. App went pending, decided not to call. The next day Approved IHG ($8,000) showed up in my Chase online account access. Used same HP from 8/23/15..
Will remember that one.
Thanks.

I think your recent love affair with Chase has become more clingy and needy LOL
(albeit rewarding).
Interestingly though, I didn't think you had a need for the Fairmont CC? I'm thinking the Ritz (or Citi Prestige) would provide a better value even with the AF, but that's just me unless you're purely chasing this card just to have it. Unless you frequently stay at any of their resorts, your initial complimentary 2-night value would quickly fizzle out since one needs to spend $12K annually to receive the annual complimentary night (plus a bit restrictive on some resort redemptions). On the upside, you're automatically enrolled in Premier status and the card has no FTFs.

@FinStar,
I'm all in now. I'm blaming you for telling me about the Fairmont card. Let's overlook the fact that I asked about any other cobranded chase cards. Lol lol.
Yes I know
I'm such a bad influence and, yes, I'll take the blame LOL.
Yet, your post contains some great data points based on your recent experiences. Thankfully, no new HP. Space it out until next month (or until the 30/31 day mark hits). I'm ready for my trip to NY for a nice stay at The Plaza, is that where we're staying? Let me know when you're approved and I'll meet you there ![]()
