Lowes Denied

I've been trying to get in with Lowes for over a year.  I tried online last night and was denied (hadn't tried them in more than a year at that point).  Should I go in today and try in store or should I give up on wanting a Lowes card this summer and wait to see what happens next year?

Re: Lowes Denied

What is the reason for denial and how does your credit profile look like?

Re: Lowes Denied

My profile is avg. I don't have a high score.  I can't remember the reasoning but I think I saw something that said no new cards in the past 12 months or something like that

Scores are not everything but rather the entire credit profile.  The denial reason given should be the clue for you to work on.  If nothing has changed in your profile since your last application and you try to apply, even in the store it will be declined.

You are welcome.  If you really want the card, try to find the reason for the denial and work on that before trying again.

Re: Lowes Denied

I had a Lowes card that I never used after I got it last June (only had a $500 CL). I closed it back in December. After that I realized a need for the card so reapplied. They turned me down and basically was because I had a card with them the past year. They're a tough one for me. I ended up getting a HD card and got a $10k limit.
