Lol good deal then and yes very strange then unless there's something else in your DP's as Truist PA are usually pretty solid and your FICO looks good. Sorry for the denial.
Actually it is best to freeze all of those and I havent had a single denial from having them locked/frozen and I have added over 20 cards in the past 24 months.

Conversely, I've never encountered any issues with leaving them open, but plenty of DPs with supporting evidence have shown that a variety of lenders will decline applications if any of the others are frozen. Experiences and outcomes will vary.

For credit card apps, yes, but OP was talking about a denial for DCU membership.
I called Truist and apparently there is no record of any applications even though they soft pulled my EQ report.
i reapplied again, for a different card and got when message:
