Macy's American Express questions.

Is the Macys Amex considered a new account? Or just like a PC? Sorry for the obviously dumb question.

It's a new account but there's no HP involved in opening it.

At least two accounts. You can use just the Macy's Amex card, or you can use the old store card at the store still.

I say at least two accounts because special purchases fall into "club" accounts - jewelry, furniture, etc. to separate the promotional financing. All without HPs in most cases.

The Amex shows up as a new account based on the date that the Amex was issued. The Macy's account(s) keep their history.
