Macy's Credit Card Declined

I applied for Macy's credit card few weeks back and I received a letter saying "we unable to approve your application this time"

Reason: Unable to verify identity information.

** Please take a few moments to contact us at the phone number listed below to provide the required information to complete the application processsing. 

I contact the customer service and they told they cannot apporve the application since it was declined, you reapply at the store within 30 days of this application.

It sounds like it might be worth your time to take a trip to Macy's and apply inside the store.

You can ask before they pull your credit. Since they have already pulled it, they may use it to verify your information. Ask if the thirty day message was so the "old" HP can be used.

Sounds like what they're saying since they said w/in 30 days,but of course ask and be prepared for another pull.
Also, it might not hurt to try calling that number again to see if you get another person since letter-"Please take a few moments to contact us at the phone number listed below to provide the required information to complete the application processsing." and if given same info again would take letter w/ me 2 store...

Such BS!!!!! Don't take that sh*t, I got denied for my Macy's Amex for the same reason, call this number 800-627-2909, if they give you the same sh*t call the EO, I was able to get my denial overturned through the EO

+1 ME2 as I just had a whole issue with my Bloomingdales Amex app and double pulls and rude people that didn't know the ground from the sky!

I'm almost certain no matter what it will be another HP. Macy's is not in a good service position right now and not one CSR knows what they are talking about. Even higher up is having trouble figuring out anything. Good luck if you try though. Keep us posted if you get another HP.

I have got approved for $500 from calling 800-627-2909, without your instructions I would have wasted my hard inquiry.
