Macys 4 year rule with bk

Had the scores for Macys, so when I went on the app spree I added them to the mix- Got off the phone with the recon dept. They stated its policy (and has been) that they will not issue cards to anyone who has had bankruptcy for 4 years? So, I need to be 4 years from BK to even apply?

im gonna reach out to them again, and ask as well about the rule. Id love to have my bloomies back. Macys was IIB, but Bloomies was closed in 2009 in good standing, $0 bal, for non activity

Hmmm...my ch 13 was discharged last June. I was auto approved for Macy's in January.

I tried Bloomingdales back in Dec/14 and know they also same bank with Macy's and the guy I spoke with told me same thing. I've to wait until I've 4 years which for me will be in July of this year.

My husband was 1 month short of 4 years and he was approved in store with an $800.00 CL.  I applied 4 1/2 years post banksruptcy in store and got the 7-10 day message.  I called the and was told had a prior financial obligation with them, so the app could not be processed, but they would manually review it.  they gave me a number to call and it took them less than 5 minutes and was approved for 1K.

he got approved becuase he was past FILING date, not discharge date. Their poicy is approval 4 yrs after FILING date.

Yep, I just got declined and called Macy's directly...got to be 4 year out of BK.
