Macys Store Card/Amex Confusion

I called Macys Credit CC and the rep said that I indeed have both the store card and the Macy's Amex. In order to add the Amex one online though, I have to wait for the card and delete the store card from the login and add that first so it doesn't do it twice.

The Macy's Amex CL is $3k and the store version is $1k. Sweet. Early upgrades to the card are possible after all. I applied for the store card online so I was really surprised my request went through eventually.

Thats awesome Popa! remember to keep asking for those SP CLI for the macys line only. i did it as soon as i got in the mail and i got an extra 500. make sure its only on the macys line. because they will do a HP on the amex line. 

It took 3 weeks from when i requested to be upgraded to the amex.

I called in to have it done. The changes weren't immediate either. It can take up to 30 days and last time I checked, it still just had the regular Macy's icon.

Now I'm afraid the amount of recent inquiries will be a negative if I call for a Macy's Amex upgrade. I have 4 this month.

No need to be afraid. There's no hp if you try anyway. If it doesn't work, try again in a few months. That's how I like to think about things and taking some chances from time to time.

I really thought I wouldn't get the Amex either right away so it was a major surprise to see this.

Ok, I did it.  Took all of 1.5 minutes!  Never mentioned anything about it being a hp so that's good.  Maybe I'll get the Amex upgrade too! 

It didn't take long to hear about your approval since you only did it last week I believe, correct me if I'm wrong.

Good luck. Yeah, I think I got approved for Macys earlier this month, so about a week or two there.
