Macys account shows picture of macys amex with an activation message

When I log into my Macy's account I see a picture of a Macy's AMEX card and next to it, it says "Activate your Macys AMEX card" with a big red activate button.  I don't remember applying for the AMEX version but I could have?  Anyway is this a card that they have given me, or is this an invitation to apply for the card?  And is this a SP or HP?

It reads to me like perhaps they're upgrading your Macy's card to the AMEX version..

Is that something Macy's does? I don't have the card so it's a guess..

I would call them & ask..

That has appeared on my online account since I opened store card.  I don't think it means anything.
