Major Penfed CLI Confusion...

Ok, so the day before yesterday I requested a CLI to my Penfed Cash Rewards Visa.  I called in yesterday and one rep said my application was approved and I would be getting the card in the mail soon.  She even put me on hold to check with another rep to see if I was getting a new card or a CLI to my existing card.

So, I then called back and asked for 5k more of an increase so I would get 20k total...got that approved.  I did not mention on that second call that the prior rep said I was getting a new card...  ... then today I get this email...

Congratulations! Your PenFed Platinum Cash Rewards Visa application has been finalized, and your loan or credit card documents are in the mail, along with your loan check (if applicable). The documents have been sent to the address you specified in the credit application.

SOOO.....I don't know if they opened a new account like one of the reps said...OR if they just increased my current card to the 20k OR if they did both...opened new card account and gave me 15k limit, like rep one told me and thats why I got email AND they gave me a 15k increase (to bring me to 20k total on my open, current card)

If they are sending me a card in the mail, I will then have two cash rewards cards...is that possible ? (having two)

I don't wanna call back...obviously they don't know what is going on....

Andy77 that is exactly what happened to my 22 July when I got a 2.5k cli. Started getting email saying my card is OTW. I called them to not sent them cuz I got a card already. Csr said will fixed it. Fast forward 2 August with my full cl showing and being used I asked for a sup to tell me wats up. She ended up closing my original plus what the csr did initially, open another one, approved etc etc. emails stopped , first two request cancelled 2 August request approved and fine ever since.
Personally I think it's a glitch on thier system thinking its a new app and not a cli.

Yea lots of confussion...I would not bark at another card with a 15k limit in addition to the 15k increse I just got.

SO...do you think they are sending me another card through ?

That's what my email said but they never did. if you have the card already like I did, let them update the system to whatever limit they got you. Once you have doc stating your limits, call them about the email that they keep sending.
