Making Progress

Hello everyone as a quick reminder I posted that I was approved to refi my auto loan through navy federal last week. The same day I said the hell with it and applied for a credit card and was approved through Navy Federal with a $500 limit figuring I must've been on a roll I applied at capital one and was approved for a quick silver with a $300 limit.

Couple of questions I have First Premier and credit one both with $300 limits should I get rid of one or both of those now that I have real credit cards?

Also my Real fico scores as of today are exp623 eq613 tru576

I have been at this for approximately a year trying to clean up my reports and establish new good credit can anyone tell me why my Trans Union keeps staying so low?

Re: Making Progress

Nice progress so far! Our scores and overall profile are about the same: FICO 8 EQ 629, TU 579, and EX 606. I just got serious about cleaning up my credit around the beginning of this summer where all of my scores were in the low 500's. I also applied for a Cap 1 QS1 in July and was given a $300 SL, after 3 months I hit the "luv button" and was given a $100 increase, and my card is due to complete credit steps in Jan 2018 and from researching it should go to at least $750 from what Ive seen from most people in my shoes. Additionally I also have a $500 Secure Card through my CU. I'm not a credit guru or expert but I would hold off on closing your FP and Credit 1 Cards especially if these are your oldest cards as not only will it decrease your overall utilization but also your Average Age of Account. As far as TU that's my lowest score too but I do have 3 collection accounts on there, just got 2 removed about a month ago and I do have a few 90-120 day lates from Navient Student Loans on about 9-10 accounts with them before I consolidated my loans into one about 4 months ago. I'm now curious being back in good standing with Navient as those accounts are now closed, if I was to dispute the late payments if they would even bother to respond to the dispute???? Nonetheless, I'd like to know as well why my TU score is so much lower than the other two! Anyway, keep up the good work! I just sent out 3 PFD Letters for my 3 collection accounts, hopefully when the last comes off I'll see a significant point increase of at least 20-25 points across the board. As of now I'm staying away from any subprime cards and working on getting my scores up so I can obtain a prime card! Quality over Quantity in my opinion.

Started my credit repair journey July 2017. Starting scores from 3 Major Bureaus Mid 500's across the board.
Cap 1 QS1 ($300SL) Currently $400 CI, due to increase by credit steps 1/2018 GNOFCU SC $400.
AMEX Gold Delta Skymiles Card: $1000 SL (11/29/2017)
FICO 8 Scores: EQ 624, TU 579, and EX 626 as of 11/29/2017
