Max Number of AMEX Approvals in One Day

Hello all,

I'm targeting about 4x AMEX cards (2 revolvers, 2 charge cards). I'm curious the strategy to approach. It seems the best way to approach it is 1x revolver 1x charge (pray for one HP) in one day, then wait a few months and do it again?

With that being said, can anyone report being approved for more than 2 AMEX cards in a single day or within the same month and still one HP? Share your experiences please.

I applied for PRG and Delta back to back and got both approved instantly with one HP. I also applied for the BCP next day but that was another HP.

4 cards, they tend to overlap each other.

Usually 2 do the trick, but good luck anyway.

I can't imagine why you would want 2 Amex charge cards. I have one, and it's one too many.

Thanks Jace for the data point. And to others, I would like to take advantage of some sign up offers that are very lucrative at the moment, such as the SPG and and PRG. Also, I have personal (benefits from PRG) and reimburseable business spend (benefits from SPG) that would benefit from both of those cards. I plan to keep ED for supermarket / occasional gas spend and to house credits if I decided one of the cards aren't worth keeping in the long run.

Not yet. Deciding if I should wait out as close as possible to the expiration date for the SPG...to get close enough to 60 days out in case the new double Freedom offer comes back. Also worried to app before the Freedom in case I get denied due to the 5 card Chase rule that people have been speaking about.

If I had the Freedom already I'd pull the trigger right now. Thinking...thinking...

Thanks! I will. Do you think I should let me CSP report before apping for an AMEX revolver? Does AMEX match limits of other big lenders?
