Many cards are backed by the same bank, so they will see internally. MAYBE... unless you are able to have the application filled out to 6 diff cards with 6 diff banks open in 6 diff browser windows and you try and hit submit all at once... Would be curious to see someone try

I always get an email that I have a new inquiry before the browser with the app even spits out a decision. So basically it takes seconds for the inquiry to register.

Even if they don't see it at the time, they'll eventually find out that they're not the only girls you invited to prom that day, so to speak.  

Banks tend to be somewhat jealous.  I don't see any reason to try to "trick" them with rudimentary parlour tricks.  It will likely come back to bite you.  If your profile supports it, there's no need.  If it doesn't, then you should probably rethink your plan anyway.

How long does it take you guys before you are alerted/see the corresponding inquiry on your credit report after applying for various credit from various institutions?

Under 10 seconds.

It is usually within seconds.

Excluding one card I applied for which took a couple of days but the company only does manual reviews and approvals from my understanding.
