Okay, go here, enter your info, and see if it comes up with any pre approvals.
Just no SCTs or QS1's.

An auto deny would have been a message right there telling you you weren't approved, not that it was under review.
And, even if Capital One didn't have any pre-qualified offers for you, you can still give an app for the Quicksilver or Platinum a whirl. They definitely have products for those who don't have great scores.
Good luck!
From my experience, AMEX is actually one of the easiest cards to get (BCE or a Delta) and their charge cards they will give to almost anyone.
I have heard Discover seems to like clean, thin files. But Discover doesn't have a pre-qual site to give you an idea if you will be approved. Still it is worth thinking about if you like the Discover IT (or maybe student) card.
By the way, I would skip the Chase Freedom for the time being. I believe Chase likes to see some revolving history on a non-store card. The Freedom is a good choice once you get one year of revolving history on another card.
Good luck with you Nasa app.
Thanks for the options. i want of course not a great card , i need more credit experience i think. i want a card with a normal credit limit to pay bills and utilities and pay in full every month to get cli in time. right now i have just 2 cards , amazon and walmart. walmart free fico score say i have 653.
I certainly have seen Discover approve with 650 scores. On the other hand, I can also see them denying for insufficient credit history. I can see them going either way.
I do like Discover, but they aren't accepted by all of my utilities. You may want to check to see if your utilities accept Discover before applying. Hopefully, you will be approved for the Nasa FCU Visa. If so I would probably hold off (or at most one additional) applications. Give your credit score some time to recover from your recent applications before applying for more credit.
