You really think bank of america would give me an increase from $500 to anywhere close to $25,000 dollars? Like I'd love even $10,000 but you don't think if I asked for $25,000 it would just be an automatic denial and they wouldn't even attempt to counter that. Thats a huge increase @Harvey26
@Ficoproblems247I went ahead and bought a pair of airpods pro.

They probably wont go from 500 to 25K but Shoot for the moon and no they wont auto decline they will just counter. But whatever the counter is will be the highest you qualify for at that time. Which means no money left on the table

Now THAT is a great way to get yourself to AZEO!
Not really. They are quite expensive, seem to get lost, and since I do audio engineer work often, I'm very peculiur about sound. So hopefully they were worth the $224 dollar price tag they cost. We will find out when they arrive tomorrow. I'll probably pay most of it off just to leae $50 or so on the card.

$25K? No. If you have a "request a credit line increase" hyperlink under "Card Details" when you look at your account online you can go ahead and make a request. If $10K is your goal and you're comfortable requesting that amount, , go ahead and ask for it. You'll get doom and gloom messages about maybe performing a HP but the odds of that happening are extremely small.
Don't be discouraged if it comes back as being deferred, that just means it is going to be reviewed manually.

@Anonymous The rule of thumb for Bank of America is that they will approve a CLI up to three times your current credit limit. So even if you ask for $25,000 the most likely result will be a counteroffer for $1,500. Occasionally someone will get lucky and get more than a 3X increase but that's definitely the exception and not the rule. The good news is that you can request a CLI from BofA every 90 days; that was how I was able to increase my BofA Cash Rewards card from a $2,000 starting limit to $85,000 in less than two years.
wow! nice increase @Anonymous Thanks for telling me that though. it seems such a request for a large CLI would just make the system laugh at you and deny instead of counter offer

I'm an audio engineer as well and I know what you mean about being peculiar (I call it picky) about sound. I never really liked the air pods, but hope they work for you.
On the topic of Chase CLI's this doesn't work all the time, but it costs you nothing to try: When your AZEO report comes in, apply for all your other SP CLI's. The next day, update your income on Chase's website. Wait at least three business days, then drop by the nearest branch or call and ask if you qualify for any special offers like pre-approvals, better APR or CLI. There have been reports of this triggering an auto CLI at waiting stage or when you talk to a CSR, but they are sporadic. If you get to the point of ending the CSR conversation and they haven't offered you a SP CLI, you can always ask for an HP at that point.
Thank you. So question out of these cards, how do I find out who does soft pills vs hard pulls when requesting a CLI?
