My BCP app

I looked at the status today and it still says in progress. It was because I applied for the Amex skymiles and the bcp at the same time. I was approved for the Amex skymiles. It's been 6 days. Should I go ahead and call Amex to see if it can be processed now? Or just wait it out?

The Delta sky miles is a credit card right? I believe Amex rules are only one charge and one credit per 30 day period. If the Sky miles is a credit card, the BCP will be auto denied.

They are both CC. It didn't auto declined asked me to call and they said I couldn't app the same day. CSR 3-5 days between a like product. He said it will stay in process until then.

CSR is wrong. One charge and one credit per 30 day period. HP can be used for up to 30 days, but you can't do both cards so it would have to be a new HP. BCP will most likely be denied.

How long ago was this HP? Maybe you can call and apply to something like the PRG charge with bonus.

Was the 20th i apped for both but was only approved for the delta skymiles because i applied for that one first..but my wife got the BCP in the mail today. The 6% will be nice for the groceries. But heard it was a 6k max. With 2 we could do more..she has a delta skymiles too but i wanted the 30k bonus miles for a trip coming up.

Not sure this is correct at all.  Never heard of any 30 day waiting period for Amex.  If you apply for two credit cards at once usually the 2nd one is put on hold for fraud prevention but you can be approved for 2 at the same time.  We've had multiple people approved for two Amex credit cards at the same time. Also have never heard that HPs are good for 30 days.  Usually the'll use the same one for a couple days but not 30 days.

I just looked. They cancelled the app. Was still pending this morning. 

But thats what i thought i read too. 5-7 days they used the same HP...IDK lol.

There are always exceptions, but in general, 1 Cc and 1 charge per 30 days.
