Today in the mail I got my Chase freedom card. 3 days after I got my other Chase freedom card. So two duplicate cards now.

Why did you get 2 Freedom cards?
I guess the process of expedited shipping doesn't talk to the process of snail mailing.

LOL.. that's funny
This upgrading cards thing really interests me. Is it possible when you PC a card into a better card to also get a much smaller APR if it's say years later and your credit is much better?

Usually when you PC a card you keep the original card's terms, including APR. I don't know how Chase is with lowering APRs, but I know Discover is pretty good about it.
Oh that's too bad. Well it's another good argument for not getting too many cards too soon before you qualify for those low APRs.
From what I've read so far Chase is impossible about APR changes. Glad to know Discover is APR nice. I'm really glad to have a Discover card. Hearing they also give 0% promotional offers after your introductory offer runs out is amazing to me. Generous CLIs and famous wonderful customer service sure make them sound like the best CCC. After they gave me a card with one month of credit you couldn't tell me nothing.

Another lender that will not reduce APRs is Capital One - they will do a temporary APR reductions, but will not do permanent ones. But they are really easy to get new cards with after you've been with them awhile, so once you have better credit you can keep trying their pre-qual until you see a better APR then app for it - basically, you can accept one of their cards with a crappy APR, then build a history with them, then get a new card later (with a better APR) then combine your cards into the one with the best APR.
Amex is also good at lowering APRs, and I think BOA is too, but I'm not 100% sure on BOA.
That's really good information. Amex BCE is one of the cards I want in the future so I'm really glad to hear they are another growth friendly card. I hadn't expected myself to get a capital one card but I know my fiancee will get one (at least). Now though I see how beneficial they can be for my growth too. Having 3 solid credit cards that I can keep getting higher limits, lower APRs and FICO scores along with promotions sounds dreamy. Future me sure is in good shape from all the great intel myFICO forum's members gave him. That was a weird thing to say. I wish I could go back in time and tell past me to delete it. Unfortunately we all know changing the past will alter the future so...
