So I have the USAA basic credit card for those rebuilding credit. I just recently found out that I have to have the card 18months before they will consider a PC or CLI.
So, like the addict am I, I app'd for the black cash rewards card and was denied but offered to get the secured Master card with it being secure with a 2year CD.
I current have a 1year CD with them with about $3000 in it.
The questtion is, should I get this secured card with the $300 I currently have in CD savings and socket draw the card.
I figure I would get a sort of 2 fold benefit from my money.
1. Help with UTL with the $3000 limit
2. And earn a little interest (but the card does have a $35 annual fee) so not just if interest would even cover that at a 0.64% variable rate..
Your Thought?

With the cards you already have what's the purpose of getting a secured card?
I agree with Irish80 here, what is the purpose of getting another secured card? Based upon your line up I would pass all together.

Thanks a ton folks. I really appreciate it.

OP what are your thoughts on USAA credit products thus far? My husband and I are members and he is thinking of getting a credit card there. His scores are around 650 and the main reason is lack of credit. He has no forms of credit on his report except being an AU on my Amex and a car loan.
