NASA CREDIT RBFCU QUESTION

I wanted to find out if nasa credit union is a soft pull to join or hard pull?

Also rbfcu is it a hard pull or soft?

I've called and asked and neither workers knew the answer.

If you had to pick one to apply for all loan which would you choose?

I want to be approved without jumping thru hoops.

I heard about Andrews fcu but I heard they deny a lot of ppl.
Thanks

Re: NASA CREDIT RBFCU QUESTION

I was recently accepted by RBFCU. One HP (TU) but it’s good for 45 days for multiple products. Their credit cards are amazing...no fees and can transfer $ directly from card to checking at standard interest rate (0% w/in 90 days for 12 months).

The denied me when BK was on my CR, but once it was clean I got instant approval at 25k and lowest APR plus a new car loan at 1.95%. Scores still sub 700 with lots of inq.

So far they have been a real peach!

Re: NASA CREDIT RBFCU QUESTION

Did you apply for membership then apply for the card?

Or did you apply for the card then membership?

You had amazing results.
I want a loan and credit card. Just afraid of multiple hard pulls and denials.

Re: NASA CREDIT RBFCU QUESTION

It was a soft pull to join NASA when I joined two years ago. Even the credit app was a soft pull. I've read they've tighten a bit since then. Should still be a EX soft pull to join. It's also a SP to join State department FCU, Andrews, Beth Page, Alliant, First Tech, and Vantage West.

What are your FICO scores, if you don't mind me asking? Easier for me to nail down what CU may be your best bet.

Re: NASA CREDIT RBFCU QUESTION

RBFCU was a HP on TU for me, and they pulled Chex at least twice.

DCU is now a SP on EQ to join I think. They are pretty relaxed on their score requirements, too.

@GMOOD1 - I think State Dept is a HP now, isn't it? I thought I had seen some threads where they changed. When I joined in '12 or '13 they were a SP I know.

Not sure, it was an SP for me as well. They're are tricky with the preapprovals though. The CC preapprovals are a HP. While the preapprovals for personal loans are a SP. Kinda of nuts me thinks. lol🤔

Re: NASA CREDIT RBFCU QUESTION

Afraid of multiple pulls and denials? That's the brakes. All part of the credit world. If you don't want HP's or denials..

Don't apply.
