Current EX score is 687. TU is 717. EQ is 683.
11% Utilization (all on one card for some 0% financing on dental work ) 108k stated income (usually higher but I'm 100% commission.)
One auto loan. 11 open cards. No lates on anything. $67,000 in available revolving credit.
One paid Sudenlink collection account from 2009 for $259.
Applied for a membership and was instantly approved. Applied for a credit card saturday night and went ahead and uploaded my DL, paystubs, and proof of residency.
Application was declined today. Reason was "Excessive Open Revolving Accounts and/or Borrowing Capacity. Excessive Recently Opened Trades."
Hopefully only a SP
I would call and try a recon. Remind them that you have 11% UTL and no lates.

I was in the same boat. Denied on recon as well for NASA FCU's credit card. They cited too much open credit just as your denial reason.

Sorry for the decline it almost sounds like this is NASA's way of saying you have access to alot of money as oppossed to what PenFed likes to say to applicants
i had something like 15 inquiries when i was approved with 7 new accounts less than 1 year old
Yes they have defffinetly tightened up there requirements, amounts the are giving and reasons for denials... Think the funds are getting dry and less to give out and keeping them for a rainy day.
Yeah I got my savings account approved then immediately applied for the card and it was declined due to "Excessive Recently Opened Trades". Awe man, I only opened like 12 recently. Is that really too many? 650/635/750 scores. No delinquency, or COs. AAoA is about 4yrs. I reconned through their message system. Prolly won't do any good. Hope it's only an SP like people have said. Ah well. Pushed my luck. Garden for me for sure. 2 years at least. Did get a SCT Overstock card with 6500 limit, though. Yay.
