Who did you kill? Nevermind, I don't wanna know!
The power of an Amex backdate.
No way. I added 3 AmEces MSD 1984, at best it added 40 points

That helped as well
As much as I'd like to re-apply, it may be prudent to wait for multiple new TLs >$5K to report. I also checked Ex and they SP'd 12/09 & 2/3. Not sure about Eq.
I hope to join you in the 800 club by the end of the year

Where are you located that nfcu is pulling experian? I just got approved the same day I joined for navcheck and cash rewards siggy. It cost me 3 inquiries, 2 with TU and the navcheck with EQ.
However, they reported to EX first.
Right church, wrong pew

Eh, I didn't have any knowledge of their tax lien or collection otherwise that would have made perfect sense. I'm sure the backdate didn't hurt though. lol
Nice job, Irish on getting the tax lien and collection removed -- and, of course, your great scores!
Edited to add that I'm sorry that I'm off topic! ![]()
Hi Stagefoursurvivor,
I was approved for NASA products last week. I became a member in October of 2014. I wasn't ready to apply for anything as I was getting my utilization down. That was a soft pull as you already know. When I applied for CC'S Feb. 24, 2015 it was a hard pull on EX the score NASA used to extend me credit is the mortgage score. For me this was 736 and they gave me 31K in credit over 2 cards my utilization is down to 1% I hope this helps.

What she said...
Membership in Nov, appd for cc immediately, denied. Scores, high 690's, low 700's. Can't remember the reason.
2 wks, app'd again, HP on EX, denied. They pulled a 686 EX which was my mortgage score on EX. Sucked because myFico EX 08 was 717 and the EX Bankcard 08 was 729.
Single Reason for denial: "Too many open revolving accounts and /or borrowing capacity". $150k+ available credit, $100k income.
I sent a recon letter via their 'emailbox' secure messaging on the 4th...haven't heard anything back yet.
I joined in December and applied for a CC in January , they pulled EX 728 and denied me for not enough time on current accounts.......hmmmmmmm okay, I will try again at the end of the year and see if I get any love. I only have a savings account with them.
