Re: NASA approved. highest limit yet!

@DreamingJean

"^ROFL!!  That exactly how I felt at the time.  I had 1 inquiry on Experian and TU at the time and an old late pay that was 4.5 years old. My file was relatively thin at the time, no new accounts and an Amex that is 20+ years old in perfect standing, so the late pay most certainly was the culprit.  Yet, my file was good enough to get a CSP with $24k starting limit, Freedom $6K, BoA $5K and US Bank $5K.  I had gotten approval for the Chase cards, so assumed I was good to go with NASA.  Apped for BoA and US Bank after the NASA denial.  As I've said before, NASA is the Goldilocks of CCs -- file not too thin, file not too thick, must be just right."

First for NASA denying you with a 757 Experian score this is from me ==>

You had ONE total Experian inquiry not one in the last 6-12 months, a total of one showing the last two years is that right?

A 757 Experian score is that the score that showed up on the denial letter they sent you or where is that score from and how old what is from the NASA app date?

No new accounts opened by you within 12 months before apping NASA is that correct?

Was the 4 1/2 year old late payment just a late payment or a collection and/or charge-off?

When you say, "My file was relatively thin at the time" what other credit lines and cards did you have open besides the AMEX when you apped NASA?
Maybe you had too few of accounts open or closed for them, aka "thin file".

Re: NASA approved. highest limit yet!

Got an eMail from a gal at NASA asking me if I needed help completing my loan application. Apparently, it didn't go through. Called her back, she submitted it, and said I'll hear back in 24 to 48 hours.

Is that for the PLOC? Odd that the application wasn't completed since you received a denial. Interesting nonetheless, keep us posted.

Didn't receive a denial, received an under review. Just got the docusign for the PLOC and, after racking my brain, succesfully answered their questions about stuff that happened decades ago.
