great thank you. i know i had a cap1 card that was originally 500.00 i pushed about 1000 thru it every month and would have $10.00 balance showing when the bill would cycle. they raised it to 1500.00 in 2 months. i will do what you said. thanks for all of yalls help

I would go for the NFCU secured card for now.  You don't need just another card, you need to build a relationship with them.  Show them you can handle this card for six months and they will give you all the love you need.

I had similar scores when I joined back in March, perhaps a bit better, I was declined for unsecured but ended up doing a secured card in June.  I just got approved for a unsecured card with a $9,700 limit (by far my highest) and a 7k CLOC so work on your scores, take good care of your secured card and wait 5 months and scores around 630 and then go for it and they will reward you.
