Apped for a NFCU CC and got $25k.
His income is around $30k.
Credit history was only a couple of months old. AU on a couple of my accounts is all he had reporting.
It's hard for me to imagine OP receiving a $1k approval. Though it's always possible.
This is true, I do have high 700 scores but I have a mountain of inq's and 20 new (under 1 year according to TransUnion) accounts. Navy is an odd duck when it comes to sensitivity to new accounts and inq's. OP should be golden for whichever card the heart desires...

On the flip side of the coin, after watching the approvals forum day in day out for a year ..
I have seen plenty of $500 and $1000 first NFCU cards. as well as $25K+
and some of those $500 and $1000 approvals had strong profiles and income.
Just try to figure out Navy's Internal scoring system?
it is coin toss ..
What I've seen is, their system is based more on DTI. Than scores or income.
If your CR DTI is in that sweet spot.
They'll give you keys to the vault. Even with a 600 credit score!
Just pull the trigger OP then tell us you're blown away by the SL you get!
