NFCU - Apply for Platinum or Secure?

Hey guys! Just because I keep reading that the pre-approval page might not be that accurate. Should I apply for the Secured as it's the only one that shows up? Or, should I apply for platinum and see if they counter with the secure?

I should add that I did the SSL loan about 2 months ago. It has the small balance of $265 that will be paid off in the next 5 years.

It depends...

• any bk within the last year?
• how long have you been a member?
• whats your TU 9 score look like?
• derogs?
• Utilization?

My experience was that I applied for platinum but was denied.  I had to do another application and hard pull for the Secured.  in my case, they did not counter.

Please add your relevant data points like current scores, inquiries, baddies, etc. We cant recommend based off no profile info. Imagine you had 10 cards, and 800 score and 10 yo AAoA, why would we recommend a secure card lol. Thanks 😊
