Has anyone ever been approved or received an approval for NFCU Credit card on a Saturday ? I apped yesterday, they said credit looks good and asked for income verification and asked about how much I pay on student loans per month .. Faxed in and told 24-48 hours. Was told today I will have an answer by tomorrow ..
Anyone ? I am soooooo excited and hopeful to get in with NFCU CC !!! My scores are 662 FICO .. Not worried about credit really. So has anyone ever been approved after seeing "Review in Process" on a Saturday or weekend ? :-). Tell your approval stories !
Actually, sorry to say I've seen denials with that info. Good luck though, hope yours is an approval. Your scores would suggest so, 662 is enough for NFCU.

Why ask for income verificTion to deny !? That's so pointless and a huge waste. Especially when it matches
Do you have any CRAs on ice? Did your income verification match what you stated? I only ask because the same thing happened to my roommate with similar scores and she was denied for the same dumb reason. Recon for sure. Your scores are def high enough for NFCU. Many people get approved with high 500s. I wouldn't go secured with them either, you should be past that. Effed up. Roommate told them to go F themselves and ended up closing her account. But they are typically quite generous.
Sorry OP.

I'm over them. They pick and choose and it's unfair and not spread evenly. Probably also based on the fact I keep very little money in my checking with them for fear of the freeze that happened to my roomie. Frozen funds for 4 weeks. All to prove membership months after signing up. BS!
If recon fails I will do what your roomie told them to do and close lol. Not that they'll care but it will make me happy
I keep very little in my account for the same reason. I've been a member for 8 months legitimately and I'm still a tiny bit wary of them. In my case, they put me through the wringer during my membership process, so they're probably done shaking me down. It was 3+ weeks of sending in documents and dealing with their investigators (which made me feel like a criminal) before I was approved. It was very odd.
I don't blame you, I'd feel the same way. Hopefully your recon is successful.

We shall see. Any other suggestions for me? Places to look with my scores ? Banks ? Independent ? Etc ?
What are you looking for in terms of type of card? What is your current profile/lineup and what are your goals for it?
Not quite related, but I got an approval over the phone for a cloc cli on a Sunday.
