NFCU BK Sensitive or Not?

I've got conflicting replies from NFCU on the BK thing.  One told me 12 months post DC and another told me they just consider the BK date and any payment history after the date.  I can't get an approval on any of their unsecured CCs.  I'm an AU on my wife's Secured nRewards so I'm just leaving it at that.  Penfed won't approve any of their credit cards but did approve an auto loan but we went with another bank due to the rate and LTV.  I haven't looked at NFCU on a refinance but I may do so later on down the line.

The trick is getting in. Once you get a card the bk will have less significance. Just look at all the sub 600 scores, many with bk, scoring 20k limits. Just keep trying every 6 months, its worth it

Re: NFCU BK Sensitive or Not?

I filed BK 13 back in March 2012.  Discharged April 2017.  I applied for Navy Fed in May and they wouldn't approve anything other than a secured card.  It graduated in 6 months and auto CLI from a secured $500 to $2,000 unsecured.  6 months later I CLI to $5,000 where it's been since then.  They won't give me a CLI on that one.  However, a few months ago, they approved a CLOC of $11,500.  I did Early Exclusion on my TU account a couple of weeks ago so that report no longer has a BK on it.  Apped for NFCU Amex and approved $8,000.  It takes time, but if you prove to NFCU that you are responsible, they'll be willing to give you a chance.
