NFCU CLI Clarification

I always thought that when it comes to NFCU CLI requests that it was pretty much if the response was an instant counter and member acceptance that the resulting increase would also be instant along with a resulting SP to your file, but if you received the 3-5 message and approval it would result in a HP, there seems to not be consistency in this theory others have shared their experience. Maybe CA can clarify?

Thanks! Smiley Happy

If the CLI is an instant counter then there would be no HP and that's why CA recommends you ask for 25k.  If you get the 3-5 day message it will be an HP regardless of if it is approved or not.

Re: NFCU CLI Clarification

OK I need help. I was approved for my card in early Feb. I seen that navy soft pulled me a while back so I tried my luck and asked for a credit limit increase. I got scared and decided to cancel my CLI via secure message. This was yesterday. I just got a text back stating that the account has already been reviewed and ive been denied. I have the nrewards at 6000 and navcheck at 15k. What should I do now?

You should wait until after 3-4 statements and then look for a sp... I have seen a couple successes but for the most part I would not request a CLI sooner than 3 statements and a sp that has happened AFTER the full 3 statements.

I thought I'd you sent a secure message, and asked to cancel, that you would be OK

The app is routed to a different department and they may have a difference between the areas the SM goes to customer service, and the app routerd to loans so they likely didn't get to complete your request before loans responded.
