NFCU CLI HELP!!

I have been with Navy fed for 6 years and have had a Go Rewards card for 4 years, limit is 1k and i currently have a 3% uti on it, this is also the only CC that i have. I am active duty and have never missed a payment since i've gotten the card. I am looking to get a sizeable CLI next week when i request it next tuesday. My question is will my scores permit an increase of 15-25k? I have seen all these success stories on this forum but they are from like 4 and 5 years ago and definitely before COVID and the banks getting tighter with money. I grossed 67K (according to my LES) last year and will most likely gross 70K this year. I just do not want to take a HP if my scores don't jive with a CLI. I am totally new to this whole CLI thing and I have absolutely no idea what credit versions they even look at when you go for a CLI (FICO 8,9,5,4,2). Any help info you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated!

Re: NFCU CLI HELP!!

@Anonymous. Have you considered a 2nd card with Navy? It may gain you sizable credit limit.

Given your SL on your 1st, perhaps most you may gain is 3x CLI.

Re: NFCU CLI HELP!!

@AllZero I hadn't until I literally just read a thread when somes asked should they do CLI or goo for 2nd CC.  The comments on that post said you will most likely only get 3x your starting limit too.  I think that is the coarse of action that i am going to take now.  From the scores i provided do you think they are sufficient enough to get a 2nd card?  Do you know which score version they look at? Also do you have a recommendation on which card i should go for in order to get a bigger limit?  Thank you so much for your reply!!

Re: NFCU CLI HELP!!

CLI request have been SP. They will look at EQ. There has been no reports of HP as of late.

New CC applications will be HP TU. However, they've been known to switch it up.

Scores will be used. However, Navy seems more concerned with income and DTI.

Recommendation is apply for 2nd card. Wait for approval. Then, apply CLI on 1st card.

Flagship does not have the SUB Sign Up Bonus this quarter. It's a $500 value. Perhaps apply for any other card that has a SUB or that fits your needs?

Re: NFCU CLI HELP!!

@Anonymous @ I agree with AllZero

@AllZero have you considered applying for a second nfcu cc I can bet you would get a higher SL. Then ask for a CLI on your first cc. Whatever you decide  Good Luck!
