NFCU CLI Question

DW has a NFCU Platinum that recently passed 91/3.

I assured her that a CLI would be a SP.

She called yesterday and requested a SP CLI, they told her that because she was asking for it
it's a HP and that she would have to wait a year before she could be eligible for an auto SP CLI.

To me that goes against ALL the DPs that are discussed on here.

She went for the HP CLI against my advising her not to - and she only got $400 on top of her current $1000, which also goes against all the DPs I have read on here.

I told her to call them back and see if she can app for another card under that same HP, and NFCU said she couldn't. This one I am not sure about but I figured since a HP was waisted, try for it.

I guess things are different now @ NFCU? Smiley Frustrated

Re: NFCU CLI Question

I'm curious to see what others say I haven't hit my 91/3 just yet so I can't peep my 2 cents :/

Re: NFCU CLI Question

When I have requested CLI online they have been SP lately. As for the new card, they pull TU. All CLI are EQ so you wouldn't be able to use the same pull.

Re: NFCU CLI Question

It seems that is what I'm reading too everyone is saying it has to be requested online for SP.     I pulled this from someone that recently got a 'SP CLI'     Then, I requested a CLI on my Navy Flagship Rewards card from $18K to $25K. Even though a Navy CSR told me requesting a CLI would result in a HP, I read numerous accounts here of SP CLIs when requested online. So I went on the Navy website and asked for a CLI to $25K. My last CLI had been just over a year ago. So far, no HP so I guess this is another datapoint for a SP CLI from Navy.

Re: NFCU CLI Question

Hello,

I recently joined NFCU back in March and just hit my 91/3 on 6/19. Sorry to hear about DW $400 increase. Any increase beats nothing. After tons of reading on here my plan was to app for 2nd card then request online CLI on 1st card. Well declined for 2nd card, I immediately called to recon. Received email today stating" I've reached maximum limit" I take that lightly as I've only been a member just over 3 months. Still strange nonetheless if that was reason given for denial for 2nd card that I request increase on card 1 afterwards which SL was $1K and was increased to $3K. Given the current climate we're living in I'll happily take denial for now on the Cash back & $2K bump on my More Rewards.  Truly thought denial would be for too many accounts as I have 1/6 , 7/12. Next increase request should be done online.  Hope this helps.

Re: NFCU CLI Question

I'm pretty sure all of the SP CLI I've read were done on the website or the app.

Well I'm certainly sorry to hear about the HP.  I'm glad DW got something out of it!

That seems strange NFCU said you were at max limit but then gave you a CLI.

Re: NFCU CLI Question

Got to make sure you ask for NFCU CLI's on App or Website  ..Not over the phone.

Re: NFCU CLI Question

@Bestman79    Are you sure you hit your FULL 3 statements, I show 3 right now but the 1st one isn't an actual statement (full statement) So mine will be ready/availble July 6th for 3 full statements and I got mine I believe it was in March too?!   I'll have to look back but that may be a possibility?!?!
