Re: NFCU CLI - no response

It's not just you.  I've had the CashRewards for almost 3 years and never received any love on a CLI request. I submit, crickets, and then a letter shows up saying I'm at the maximum amount -- of $2,000.

In January, I checked the pre-qualification feature, it showed I was approved for every card so I pulled the trigger on Flagship and it was instantly approved for a very high CL.

Last week, I tried a CLI in crease request again on CR....still bupkus! Ha!  I give up on CR.  My next approach will be waiting for the 91/3 on Flagship and request the $8k increase and then request the NFCU AmEx card.  That'll be my 3rd card and I'll just work on those 2 and ignore CR.

Re: NFCU CLI - no response

I think that is the route I'll take. I only got this card because it had a better offer initially for like $25,000 points when you signed up but my intention was to always get the NFCU Amex. That's what I think I'll end up doing instead of begging them for a credit line increase.

Re: NFCU CLI - no response

If you were denied or approved for less than you asked for you will receive a letter from them with the reason(s).

I read that NFCU puts a high premium on their internal score and DTI.

Do you know your navy internal score?

Most lenders like to see utilization under 30 pct, maybe thats part of it, i'm only guessing.

Good luck to you.
