**Update**
I received a call from a supervisor at NFCU named Josephine tonight. She said that NFCU has concluded the investigation into my concern and had found that I was correct. The customer service rep gave me false information and that she sent out a memo to all csr's about how all inquiries are a HP and will produce a inquiry on the consumers credit report. They are emailing me and snail mailing me a certified letter from NFCU stating that the inquiry was done in error. Also stated that they have sent information to the credit bureau and told them to delete the inquiry all together. Tonight is a good night! Even though I missed the increase, I'll get one very soon so she says. I was given her direct line and email and asked to contact her directly if I ever have any more concerns. Also said she will be reviewing my account every few weeks for cli's.
