NFCU Credit Cards Questions?

I just joined NFCU yesterday and would Ike to apply for a credit card. Based on my scores and CR I should probably apply directly for the secured card. However, if I wanted to apply for a unsecured card first which one is considered their entry level (rebuilder) card?

Also, if I'm declined for the unsecured can I use the same HP for secured card app?

What are your scores and what's on your CR? I have seen people in the low 600s get an unsecured card with NFCU. One thing to note: NFCU is credit pull happy, so be prepared for them to HP for each app. I don't know there is an entry level card unless you apply for a secured, but without knowing your scores it's tough to advise.

I've been trying to get my scores from Credit Check Total for the last week and I keep getting unable to verify my identity messages. The CSRs are clueless as to what the problem is. I'm so frustrated on the phone again with them now!

I applied for the nRewards and was denied at the beginning of this month. I reconned through secure message and they offered me a secured card. My scores were in the low 600s. I declined the secured card.

call back and take that secured card....once it unsecures (12 months) youre in with THE best CU on planet earth.

Thanks woodsie1. Do you know if they offered you the secured card on the original HP or if they pulled it again?

They only pulled equifax, and it was just once. They offered it to me after I reconned.

OP you can purchase your true FICO score from this site for $15.95, look online for a promo code. You can use that EQ score to make your decision.
