Received an email with a promo code to apply.  Is this solid to app?  Don't want a HP to go to waste.

Just marketing, doesn't mean you can't or won't be approved but it's not guaranteed you will.

I did get a pre approval for auto refi, but didnt bite.  Maybe next time.  Thanks

I'd bite. My promo code was an approval for the same card I was denied for 8 days prior!!
NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
