NFCU Pending app

Finally approved for membership two days ago and applied the same day for CLOC and cashrewards... CLOC automatic denial and cash rewards pending 1 day review.. Called today and they asked how much I pay for student loans... They said I should hear back in 24 hrs... Has anyone else experienced this?? Is this a good sign? I've read people getting denied after pending review... Have Bk on my file and they pulled TU04 608

They are so hard to figure out these days , but yes it's normal to go to review and then get approved . They are way overloaded with the New Membership drive they had recently so it could take a bit longer than normal, also always always always RECON with NFCU always even if it's a denial , send a secured message to recon it .

My sister and brother in law just appd for the Cash Rewards card and CLOC and they both went to review and took about 2 days but were approved . GOOD LUCK TO YOU! Maybe as soon as they unlock my accounts I can know the answer to my CC app 😕

They asked for another piece of info when I called for the status hr ago... Another monthly payment for my reaffirmed debt ... I asked him why they didn't ask about it yesterday when they asked about the student loans... He said they prolly overlooked my credit report .. Another 24 hrs... He said they have a few people from lending department that work on weekends so I should hear back by tomorrow

Well IMHO they would not be asking for all this if they were going to deny it . I sure hope you get approved!!

I wouldn't necessarily hold your breath.  I have been going back and forth with them for 4 days over a balance transfer/increase.  They asked me a million questions and then denied the increase even though I have a perfect history with them for almost a year.  Honestly, they didn't turn out to be as fantastic as everyone described them as IMO.

Understand...the people that are reporting on how great NFCU is have scores that are 100+ points higher than what you show...Therefore they are considered more trust worthy(creditwise) than what your scores portray you to be..also there are other factors involved such as credit mix and AAOA as well as others...In my humble opinion you are doing very well and with time you will possibly be afforded the same oppotunities(credit) as the others of whom you speak...YMMV

NFCU is really really hard to figure out sometimes! I tried like 3 times for an unsecured card and was denied denied and finally the third time they approved me with a measly $500 limit even after me having their secured card at $1000 for 14 months with perfect payment history and low utilization. And when I applied it went into review and I had to wait like 3 days to see approved and I was thinking at miminal a $5000 SL but instead $500. And that's with a TU 652 score. Yea they are very overrated IMHO!
