How many and how long ago where your late pays with them?

Four late pays:  Nov 2012, Feb 2013, May 2013, Nov 2014. (May 2013 was the month I quit my highly stressful/low paying job.) Loan originated Nov 2010. I mailed a very articulate and grateful GW letter last week to ask forgiveness for late pays, but I'm not sure how much they can do, based on how the laws are written. It's my understanding that if they report at all, they must report "correct" info.

(Hmmmmm... I just noticed that November seems to be a bad month for me, financially speaking. Seasonal Affective Disorder.)

Keep in mind moving forward that they *can* remove late pays; the law requires that they report late payments no longer than 7 years to your report - not that it *has* to be reported. Important distinction, which is why a goodwill letter is sometimes a great option. Don't give up!

Is that Plenti card in your siggy hooked with the Plenti card at the Exxon stations?

It is indeed, but boy...wish I had saved the app for something better. The rewards are just awful, and in addition to being awful, available at a *very* small number of vendors. To be fair, I knew it was limited going in, but good grief. It's really bad. I'm waiting a couple more months and doing a PC. I can't wait to get away from this silly card and its rewards structure.

I would send a recon message. If you get a Cap1 3k card should be very easy for NFCU to approve you for 500-1k IMO. Explain what happened and how it won't happen again... I bet it will be approved. Smiley Happy

I was just happy to get approved as well. But I have asked for a CLI but got denied. I will just let it age some. I'm in the garden right now so I don't want to ask for it and they hard pull
