Dell has a prequal link for revolving credit here
I read about it in another thread and thought I'd check it out. Today I got the denial letter with the following reason:
Insufficient decisionable data available
I don't have my CRs locked. I'm not sure how to interpret that comment otherwise. The letter referenced Experian as the CRA.
Anyone else gotten such a reply? Note: there was no score shown (mine would be 750+) or other reasons.

Yes. But not in this case. Used Chrome web browser on my trusty Lenovo ThinkPad.
When was the last time you got copies of your credit reports and reviewed them?
If you haven't done it recently consider taking advantage of the $1 7 day trial from creditchecktotal.com and be sure to cancel well before the 7 days are up.

@James_A I saw the post for Dell financing in
a post in the approvals section.
Since it had a link and was a soft pull.I tried.
Immediate NO SOUP FOR YOU.
Sent me a snail mail letter telling me they assign
point values to certain credit criteria when making lending decicions.
I blew the box with too may apps within
'1 month,3 months and 6 months.
Only reason they said I didn't qulalify was bc of their
internal point scoring algorithm.
I am allways curious about what I can get,
so I just tried.
Bought a new chromebook on Cyber Monday anyway :-)
Mail came today,
Hope this helps someone,
Cheers

About a week ago. Everything shows to be in order.
Note it doesn't denigrate any of my CR data, it says "insuficient data available," which suggests they had some difficulty getting the information needed to make a lending decision. I have plenty of data on my reports.

OK, good. I was considering the possibility of there being an issue outside of your control like a split file.

I received the letter with same response today. I assume they want a complete application (credit report, income, housing) to reach a decision. My guess is it could lead to a very nice SL. I am not moving forward, already have more than enough computer equipment, was simply curious.

I'm posting this from my Mac Pro (Chrome browser) and was preapproved for $4K. (I don't intend to buy anything—I'm always curious when I see a preapproval!) My FICO score is much lower than the OP's and my credit profile is dirty. So bizarre!
