Approved for Navy's Amex card in April 2020.
I believe I may have submitted a cli twice on this card.
Decided to give it another go via the app and received a denial letter in the mail today that stated I'd reached the maximum limit. Well, we know Navy's cards extend far beyond $7,000 but it seems this is the maximum they're willing to extend to me. The letter made no reference to their internal score.
This is my highest individual card so really no complaints since I'm re-rebuilding & Equifax has historically been my lowest score.
Navy must have overnighted this correspondence because my denial letter arrived extremely fast!😝
I believe they may send out a separate letter with internal score. But yes, just give them time, and keep trying.

My internal NAVY score was on my approval letter last month
I'm at $22k on the NFCU Amex Rewards, so sounds like the limit is for you, and not the card. Hope that helps.
Hmm. I wonder if they provide the internal scores with approval letters only? For example, when a member is denied, they may send the internal score separately?
I was being a bit facetious in my post @CCrew . My DM's Navy card has tripled since opening, far beyond my SL, so that 7k is definitely for me. Bwahaha. Not to mention what seems to be scores of other members on the forum with 20k+ limits.
Btw, 'grats on the 22K!

We're in the same boat I can't get them to give me the extra 2.5K on my cashRewards card.. Says i hit max limit for the last 2 years.. I'm wondering if this is because its my card that graduated from nRewards. I know it took them a while after unsecuring my nRewards to upgrade from 3K then I finally one day i applied for More and they approved me for 15K then i asked for a credit increase on my cash Rewards and they only extended up to 12.5K...Yet they just gave me a 40K car loan LOL....
I just want both my cards at 15K like come on... 2.5K is chump change...

2.5k really isnt chump change imo. That 2.5k could go to another member who is also rebuilding or even a member who is building credit history. Its great to get as much as we can from Navy but most people do not use their entire credit line so give it time, lets let Navy brighten up anothers day with some Navy love lol
Lol. I feel ya @CreditExpressNJ 😄
My Navy cards were approved as unsecured so who knows with these lenders sometimes.
BTW, congrats on the auto loan!!
What kind of car did you get? If I need to touch my nose let me know ☺️.

Hmmm. I bet you wouldn't feel it was chump change if the CL was decreased $2.5K.
Sorry, I just had to say it 🤣😂😆
