After graduating at exactly 6 months , NAVY declined my cli request. They stated my $500 secured card graduated and went unsecured to $2000 so technically I could not ask for more 😬😩 will try again in 6 months.

What were the reasons cited for the denial?

You can definitely try again in another 6 months. However, looking at your signature and the NCFU "ecosystem" it would appear you're not doing too bad given the More Rewards ($8,400) and your auto loan with them On the upside, the secured CC graduated early.

OP, in actuality you got a $2K increase considering you got your $500 deposit back. That’s a good thing and a huge accomplishment, which IMO, I feel you should be celebrating.

So, I’m congratulating you on becoming unsecured and getting a pretty darn good SL.

When I called NFCU to ask for CLI they said “hmm let me check if you’ve had one in the last 6 months” then said they already gave the offered CLI max when I graduated.

Thank you I’m new to this credit world and NFCU has been very generous ... I guess I got a little excited in requesting more lol 😂
