Hi everyone!
Been gardening for a while and enjoying my scores going up from the lack of inquiries. However, I see that AMEX Delta Gold has their 60K miles promotion going on. It prompted a question from me. I currently have an AMEX Delta Gold. I have my partner on their as an authorized user. If he were to apply and get approved for his own, would he be eligible for the sign-up bonus they are offering or would his beeing an authorized user on mine negate that?
Thanks!
He can get his own while staying an authorized user.. you can then be an authorized user on his account if you want.

Send him a referral link.
Hadn't thought about the referral link. Would he be eligible for the sign-up bonus though? I'd rather not put a ding on his credit if he's not getting the 60K miles. :-) But those miles combined with mine would pretty much pay for each of our tickets for a trip later this year. :-)
Yes he would be. My partner used a link from me, i called amex to be sure. I ended upgrading to other delta products later on, so now we get a companion ticket also. I think it expires for the public on 4/3 but you can send your link to his email and should be good till sometime in😊 May.

He would be eligible for whatever SUB was outlined in the referral link. That SUB may or may not be the same as the public offer, so he would need to doublecheck and determine which is the better overall offer, taking your referral bonus into consideration.

When i pull up my sub it does match the public offer. I happened to check that for OP
Thanks everyone for the info. One last question before we probably pull the trigger tomorrow. When he logs into his AMEX account online, he went to the pre-qualified cards area. It didn't list any for him. We then went into an incognito session on Chrome and he put in his information and it gave three options. (Sadly, Delta was not an option for him.) What are the possibilities he'd be approved for the Delta given some pre-qualified offers did pop up with his info? His EX FICO from Discover is 669 and he was approved with them in October with a $7600 SL and his first FICO with them was 650. I did notice (and checked on my own account) that AMEX doesn't seem to give a set rate on their pre-qualified or pre-approved cards.
Thanks again!
IME, it was always one of the easier ones to get. I'd send the link to him, tell him to follow the link and apply if you decide to do so. Make sure your offer for SUB is the same. Mine happened to be, but won't hurt to double check before you pull the trigger. Good luck to you both OP if you decide to go for it, and definitely let us know the outcome

Appreciate the encouragement. I've been working on reestablishing his credit for about the past year or so and he's come a long way. He went ahead and pulled the trigger on the email that I sent him. The offer was for the 60K miles that they have going on, plus a 10K miles for me doing the referrral. (BTW - Thanks y'all for mentioning that. I'd totally forgotten about referrals.)
I'm happy to say that his application went through and he was approved with a $5K SL. His DPs are Disco FICO saying 669, but we did a quick CCT today and they reported EX 661, EQ 651, and TU 663. He has no baddies for the past year. His utilization is 7% with his AU status on my two cards to help with that.
So, looks like we'll be going to Seattle later this year....WOOHOO!!!!
Thanks everyone for all the help and guidance. This board has helped out so much!
