Can you clarify exactly what the "Monthly Account Review" entails? Is it just a review of your credit card spending or of the activity in all your accounts of all types? Thanks.
Navy: Equifax, give me @CaptainConcorde's equifax credit report please.
Eqifax: oh, because you have him as a client, I can give this to you, here you go! hands over @CaptainConcorde's credit report
Navy: Thank you!
they're just grabbing your credit report, I'm sure they use 'that credit report' (and FICO score potentially) alongside other navy info they have about you in the CLI request

I am not sure if I am eligible or not eligible for membership. My dad was drafted but the war WW II ended before serving. So I am not eligible that way. My brother served at least one tour of duty in Vietnam with an honorable discharge. He never joined NFCU. Would this make eligible to join?

Yep, you should be good to go.
I'm a member through my USAF brother. Back when I joined I had to get my brother to join first (thankfully he was willing, although he knew nothing about them) but that's no longer required. He now has more business with NFCU than I do and is quick to sing their praises, LOL.

If you still have doubts just give them a call. They're actually quite pleasant to speak with, and they'll do their best to find a path to membership for you (although in your case it should be easy-peasy due to your brother).
Even in Las Vegas the branches of NFCU dont even ask your affiiation with armed services and its members (past or current)....They would just open the account for you....Now, the risk could be there if ever account is reviewed by their membership team....
@UncleB @Thank you for your response. i will look at NFCU more closely now that I am eligible.
@CaneVariant I am in the city of Los Angeles near the city of Burbank.

Sorry to see that you also got a $7100 SL even with some history with NFCU including a mortgage. Since my last datapoint, I started a recurring direct deposti via ACH transfer and also opened a small CD. I'm about halfway through my spend for the cRP card's SUB now, so I'm just continuing on with this plan until I'm eligible to request a CLI.Good luck on your future CLI
. I moved my direct deposit over, so we will see what happens for me in about three months. Please keep us updated on what happens for you.
Will do @PlaidRaptor. I wonder if the $7100 SL is some type of indicator. It seems like such an odd amount to be a coincidence.
Circling back with an update @PlaidRaptor :
I waited until the day after my 3rd full statement cut and requested a CLI through my login on the NFCU website. The request went to pending review. The next day, I logged in and saw that my limit had been increased by $8k.
Revisiting my earlier post with 2 new data points plus a question...
I waited 185 days after my previous CL, then submitted on online request for a manual CLI. The request went pending with the new CL displayed when I logged in the next morning: $15,100 to $23,100 with all 3 bureaus frozen.
Shortly after my account passed the 1 year mark, I called the number on the back of my card and requested a product change from cashRewards+ to Flagship Rewards. The phone rep contacted someone in another department to process the PC request while she stayed on the line with me. The whole process, which included acknowledging a number of required disclosures, took about 5 minutes. I confirmed that my PC'd account would be eligible to receive the annual Amazon Prime credit, and the rep stated yes but I would need to wait at least 72 hours for the credit to be usable. A new card is normally mailed to be received in 7-10 days, but she warned that I should be prepared to wait longer due to probable holiday delays.
Now for my question: Does the PC reset my eligible date for the next CLI? Would it be 6+ months from my last CLI, or 6+ months from the date of the PC?

I'm pretty sure that when you PC you reset the timer. I seem to remember that's how it was when I PC'd my More Rewards to the Cash Rewards.
