I joined NFCU about 2 weeks ago and now I've received an email saying apply for Nrewards cash back card using a code in the email. My question is does this mean I've been pre approved for the card?

No, it's an invitation to apply basically. No approval guarantee.

I received the same.email today, and this is after being approved for the goRewards card a week ago.

My cousin got something like that in the mail, not too sure if it's a pre-approvals, probably just an invite.
