Navy Federal Maximum Unsecured Limit reached

So, I have a Nrewards secured card, with the $200 limit.  I also have a CLOC with a $2000 limit.

My fico scores are around 620 consistently.  I am 4 months into my secured card.  I applied for the unsecured card, and it was denied.

the reason is  that I have reached the max unsecured limit they can offer me.  ($2k)

Does this mean that my secured nRewards have a low to nil chance of being unsecured?

That would be a bummer?  any thoughts?

Try to get your scores up to a 680 and try again. Also I would wait 181 days from approval of your secured card app. That’s all they feel comfortable giving you at the moment.

That maximum unsecured limit goes up with time. It's a lot more like Discover's insufficient experience letter than anything else -- temporary.

In your case, this is the limit they are comfortable giving right now. In time, it will grow as your profile improves and your history with them grow. No way is $2200 max limit with Navy even if you have low incomeSmiley Happy
