+1
Also the system that approves new cards besides using TU9, also takes into account your history with Navy as well.
The system for CLI's based on EQ9 does not, so that is why you see really high limits, and then not as awesome CLI's YMMV
If you have a clean profile or higher income than its easier to see larger CLI's.

Id take what you hear from the front line reps with a grain of salt. Its always a YMMV thing. Just because one rep says this, I wouldn't take it as the golden navy rule. They pulled TU for my last two CC's with them, one being recently.
^^^This
I got my second card at 5 months and they pulled TU. Very recently.
My CLI was done right after the AR and there was no HP.
The reps,,, well,,, some are more informed than others, most probably have zero clues about UW.
CHEERS
it must be a ymmv thing. if op was right when i tried to increase my cloc it should have been transunion.
but tadaaa it was 100% equifax. oh well one more equifax inquiry won't end me. so ymmv

For the CLOC what date is the date that you start counting from for the CLI?
I'd say from the date you get it..
While there is not as many DP's on the CLOC CLI, i would say it's about the same as the credit cards for asking. The CLOC itself is very much more profile dependant than cards. So for example, your profile slightly improves, you could get a card CLI but might not get a CLI on CLOC. CLOC is treated more like loans are. The better your profile, the more likely to get a CLOC CLI IME and YMMV as always.

High. Don't sweat it, you're good.

@Anonymous @Anonymous I assumed they would accept either as both were obviously approved just looking for reassurance. I'll shred the 5k approval.

At the first of the year, NFCU MC had a 0% BT offer, which I took 17k on a 25k limit. In March, Cash Rewards had a separate 0% BT offer, which I took. I combined an old student loan, a home improvement balance and a small CC balance; 12K on a 25K limit. This is my only unsecured balances.
I am eligible for employee discount through GM so I bought a truck. I called Navy and asked if they looked at internal NFCU utilization only. I told her that I was nervous to apply because all my debt (save mortgage) was with NFCU. The CSR told me no, they only look at total utilization. I was approved for a $40k truck.
They a few days later, another CSR called me to re-finance my mortgage. I was shocked. I told her that ALL my debt (~$100K) would be with them. She said I have not missed a payment with them ever. My BK7 is now 7 years and no lates or other baddies show on my CR. So they are happy to take all my debt since I am such a good customer.
So YYMV regarding NFCU reviewing internal untilization.
I applied online for a CLI from 6k to 9k on my Navy card. As soon as I hit "submit" it said I was approved. Does that usually mean I did not get a HP?
